Top 5 Spring Nail Polishes

Hello lovers!!

I thought it was about time for me to let ya'll know my top five nail polish picks for spring. I actually have six, but one of them is a glitter top coat so I'm okay with this.

1. Orly-Rage

This is a beautiful rose gold metallic shade. Its pretty opaque and so damn gorgeous!

2. Sephora by OPI-I Gotta Blush On You

This a light blush pink nude shade. Decently opaque and looks really good on stiletto nails or longer nails in general.

3. Revlon Colorstay-Passionate Pink

This a bright creamy medium bubblegum pink shade. It is such a beautiful opaque pink shade and it reminds me of blooming flowers-how Spring appropriate is that?!

4. Essie-Too Too Hot

This is a bright red-orange shade that looks like fire. I know this is more of a summer shade, but I love it because it looks like two different polishes depending on what type of lighting you are in. Definitely a shade to wear in the sunlight because it comes alive with the natural light.

5. Essie-In The Cab-ana

This is a bright ass aqua blue shade. It is so gorgeous!  I like to pair it with rose gold metallic shades and chunky gold glitter.

6. OPI-Lights of Emerald City

This is a clear base with square white glitter, small square holographic glitter, and holographic bar glitter. It looks good over every shade and looks especially awesome in the sunlight. Get this glitter on your fingers and enjoy some fun in the sun.

Top Spring Lip Shades

Hello lovers!

It's that time again, the time when the sun comes out and the bright ass colors are appearing on lips. Corals, bright reds and orange reds, peachy nudes, and hot hot pinks. Now these are mostly lipsticks, but there are a few stains and pigmented balms because until recently I was not a lipstick kind of girl...too much upkeep and I just didn't really like the shape of my lips. I've become more accepting of the natural shape of my lips and I have a new job that is more accommodating of lipstick touch ups.

I have 3 brands for you so I'll break it down that way.

The first brand is MAC of course! Honestly I don't really listen to seasonal color rules, I wear what I want when I want to wear it. For those of you who do believe in that shenanigans here and my top spring shades:

Creme Cup - This is a light blue based pink with a cremesheen finish. For me it really just adds a teensy bit of color and a bit of shine. I love it!

Crosswires - This is a clean pinky orange with a cremesheen finish. I absolutely love this shade! It looks so nice on my fair skin with my hair down and sunglasses on.

Lickable - This is a bright clean blue based pink with a cremesheen finish. It is the most beautiful fuchsia shade that looks good any time of year. I like to bust it out for spring time though because I like a bright lip when the sun comes out.

Lady Danger - This is a vivid bright red-coral with a matte finish--because it's matte I tend to wear lip balm underneath to combat the dryness of the formula.

Next up is the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids lipsticks.

Shocking Coral - A bright coral-red with a luminous finish. It leans more pink than anything else and it just absolutely gorgeous. This will be a go to color for summer as well.

Vibrant Mandarin - A bold, medium-dark tone orange with strong red undertones with a satiny finish. A freaking delicious shade. Seriously, guys, this lipstick is amazing. Get it ASAP!

The final product I'm including is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. They are effortless to apply, last a long time and stain your lips in an almost natural way that doesn't look stupid or like weird ass lip liner. And here are my picks:

Sweetheart - A lovely bright hot magenta-y pink. I think this would look good on every skin tone and it looks especially bright and beautiful on fairer tones like my own. When the balm wears off your lips are stained this color and it is a lovely thing.

Rendezvous - A fabulous orange shade, but not scary Carrot Top orange...just a nice bright summer shade! I was a little scared of this one at first, but I applied it pretty sheerly the first time and I've worked up to a pretty opaque application and I like it! Something about sunglasses, hair down and flowing in the wind, and sunshine makes this color awesome.

Well, that is all from me this time around. Hope you enjoyed and I'll have another post in a day or two.

Later lovelies.

New In: TJ Maxx + eBay + Walgreens

Hello lovers!

I went to Walgreens, TJ Maxx and did some major eBay shopping. I get so excited when I'm going to move to a new place and then there were new things at the drugstore and so many cute things on eBay!

The first place I stopped by was Walgreens and I picked up 3 nail polishes. Essie's In The Cab-Ana and two Revlon polishes in Marmalade and Passion Pink. The are so darn Spring appropriate.

Then I went to TJ Maxx just to look around and I found a Michael Kors purse - well the purse I've been thinking about for months for $200 which is a pretty good deal and it was in the most beautiful cobalt blue color with gold toned hardware and I seriously considered, and when I say seriously I mean it, buying it on the spot and just being a bit poor for a week and a half, but luckily reason got a hold of me and I put it back. Whew, it was a close one. I did find a few bits for the new apartment. I found a Kuhn Rikon three piece utility knife set for $15 and they are so adorable! I also picked up a bamboo cutting board set. It's a two piece set with one that measures 5"x8" and another that is 7"x11" for just $10! They are a good size, it was such a good deal and I think I'm going to purchase another bamboo cutting board that is a bit bigger and more capable of handling large amounts of veggies. Then while I was waiting in line I saw a Sephora by OPI polish. Now, when I see this brand of polish at TJ Maxx and I like the shade it's a no brainer and I purchase it on the spot. It is in Midnight Mambo which is a beautiful light, bright blue with silver and holographic chunky glitter. The silver glitter is small, round and very fine and the holographic glitter is hexagonal and larger. It does dry a little gritty, but a top coat definitely helps with that. It was decently opaque, I only needed two coats and I had no formula or application issues.

Finally, I did some browsing on eBay because I have absolutely no self control and I like to "window shop" online. Some times these window shopping sessions turn into real full on retail therapy experience. This was one of those times. I got four different colors of holographic heart shaped nail art glitter, two pairs of sunglasses, the Oz the Great and Powerful OPI nail polish collection for $45!!!, black Mickey Mouse shaped nail art glitter, a DIY phone case kit with an awesome leopard head, and stiletto acrylic nail tips. I would say that is a very good little eBay order.

That is all for now!

Review Time - CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

Hello lovers!

I went to Walmart this weekend with my roommates and I ended up picking the new CoverGirl foundation. Now I don't like CoverGirl foundations - I never have and I don't usually buy new products that are super hyped up, but one of my favorite YouTubers hairbyash made demo/review videos and I trust their opinions. It was $10-11 the Walmart I was at which is a bit more than I like to pay for a drugstore foundation, but babydolls it has a pump! I thought it was worth the few extra dollars.
Ashley from hairbyash said that it didn't apply well after she let her moisturizer set for a little bit so I applied it right after I moisturized and after the foundation set I really liked the finish of it. It was medium coverage on me because a few of my blemishes still were visible. I could have used a second coat as concealer, but I didn't think it was necessary because I already liked the look it gave me.

The consistency is thick, but if you hold your hand up it does run a tiny bit and that really doesn't bother me. Also, I got the shade 805 Ivory and it is a pretty much flawless match for my skin tone which is almost unheard of for a drugstore foundation. Normally they are too dark for my Casper-like complexion.

In short, I love this foundation. 10 out of 10, new holy grail foundation for sure.

Talk to you later lovelies!!
