Top 5 Spring Nail Polishes

Hello lovers!!

I thought it was about time for me to let ya'll know my top five nail polish picks for spring. I actually have six, but one of them is a glitter top coat so I'm okay with this.

1. Orly-Rage

This is a beautiful rose gold metallic shade. Its pretty opaque and so damn gorgeous!

2. Sephora by OPI-I Gotta Blush On You

This a light blush pink nude shade. Decently opaque and looks really good on stiletto nails or longer nails in general.

3. Revlon Colorstay-Passionate Pink

This a bright creamy medium bubblegum pink shade. It is such a beautiful opaque pink shade and it reminds me of blooming flowers-how Spring appropriate is that?!

4. Essie-Too Too Hot

This is a bright red-orange shade that looks like fire. I know this is more of a summer shade, but I love it because it looks like two different polishes depending on what type of lighting you are in. Definitely a shade to wear in the sunlight because it comes alive with the natural light.

5. Essie-In The Cab-ana

This is a bright ass aqua blue shade. It is so gorgeous!  I like to pair it with rose gold metallic shades and chunky gold glitter.

6. OPI-Lights of Emerald City

This is a clear base with square white glitter, small square holographic glitter, and holographic bar glitter. It looks good over every shade and looks especially awesome in the sunlight. Get this glitter on your fingers and enjoy some fun in the sun.

Those are my top spring nail polish picks! Hope you enjoyed this post and I'll have a few other spring related posts in the near future!

Til then lovelies. <3

Top Spring Lip Shades

Hello lovers!

It's that time again, the time when the sun comes out and the bright ass colors are appearing on lips. Corals, bright reds and orange reds, peachy nudes, and hot hot pinks. Now these are mostly lipsticks, but there are a few stains and pigmented balms because until recently I was not a lipstick kind of girl...too much upkeep and I just didn't really like the shape of my lips. I've become more accepting of the natural shape of my lips and I have a new job that is more accommodating of lipstick touch ups.

I have 3 brands for you so I'll break it down that way.

The first brand is MAC of course! Honestly I don't really listen to seasonal color rules, I wear what I want when I want to wear it. For those of you who do believe in that shenanigans here and my top spring shades:

Creme Cup - This is a light blue based pink with a cremesheen finish. For me it really just adds a teensy bit of color and a bit of shine. I love it!

Crosswires - This is a clean pinky orange with a cremesheen finish. I absolutely love this shade! It looks so nice on my fair skin with my hair down and sunglasses on.

Lickable - This is a bright clean blue based pink with a cremesheen finish. It is the most beautiful fuchsia shade that looks good any time of year. I like to bust it out for spring time though because I like a bright lip when the sun comes out.

Lady Danger - This is a vivid bright red-coral with a matte finish--because it's matte I tend to wear lip balm underneath to combat the dryness of the formula.

Next up is the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids lipsticks.

Shocking Coral - A bright coral-red with a luminous finish. It leans more pink than anything else and it just absolutely gorgeous. This will be a go to color for summer as well.

Vibrant Mandarin - A bold, medium-dark tone orange with strong red undertones with a satiny finish. A freaking delicious shade. Seriously, guys, this lipstick is amazing. Get it ASAP!

The final product I'm including is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. They are effortless to apply, last a long time and stain your lips in an almost natural way that doesn't look stupid or like weird ass lip liner. And here are my picks:

Sweetheart - A lovely bright hot magenta-y pink. I think this would look good on every skin tone and it looks especially bright and beautiful on fairer tones like my own. When the balm wears off your lips are stained this color and it is a lovely thing.

Rendezvous - A fabulous orange shade, but not scary Carrot Top orange...just a nice bright summer shade! I was a little scared of this one at first, but I applied it pretty sheerly the first time and I've worked up to a pretty opaque application and I like it! Something about sunglasses, hair down and flowing in the wind, and sunshine makes this color awesome.

Well, that is all from me this time around. Hope you enjoyed and I'll have another post in a day or two.

Later lovelies.

New In: TJ Maxx + eBay + Walgreens

Hello lovers!

I went to Walgreens, TJ Maxx and did some major eBay shopping. I get so excited when I'm going to move to a new place and then there were new things at the drugstore and so many cute things on eBay!

The first place I stopped by was Walgreens and I picked up 3 nail polishes. Essie's In The Cab-Ana and two Revlon polishes in Marmalade and Passion Pink. The are so darn Spring appropriate.

Then I went to TJ Maxx just to look around and I found a Michael Kors purse - well the purse I've been thinking about for months for $200 which is a pretty good deal and it was in the most beautiful cobalt blue color with gold toned hardware and I seriously considered, and when I say seriously I mean it, buying it on the spot and just being a bit poor for a week and a half, but luckily reason got a hold of me and I put it back. Whew, it was a close one. I did find a few bits for the new apartment. I found a Kuhn Rikon three piece utility knife set for $15 and they are so adorable! I also picked up a bamboo cutting board set. It's a two piece set with one that measures 5"x8" and another that is 7"x11" for just $10! They are a good size, it was such a good deal and I think I'm going to purchase another bamboo cutting board that is a bit bigger and more capable of handling large amounts of veggies. Then while I was waiting in line I saw a Sephora by OPI polish. Now, when I see this brand of polish at TJ Maxx and I like the shade it's a no brainer and I purchase it on the spot. It is in Midnight Mambo which is a beautiful light, bright blue with silver and holographic chunky glitter. The silver glitter is small, round and very fine and the holographic glitter is hexagonal and larger. It does dry a little gritty, but a top coat definitely helps with that. It was decently opaque, I only needed two coats and I had no formula or application issues.

Finally, I did some browsing on eBay because I have absolutely no self control and I like to "window shop" online. Some times these window shopping sessions turn into real full on retail therapy experience. This was one of those times. I got four different colors of holographic heart shaped nail art glitter, two pairs of sunglasses, the Oz the Great and Powerful OPI nail polish collection for $45!!!, black Mickey Mouse shaped nail art glitter, a DIY phone case kit with an awesome leopard head, and stiletto acrylic nail tips. I would say that is a very good little eBay order.

That is all for now!

Review Time - CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

Hello lovers!

I went to Walmart this weekend with my roommates and I ended up picking the new CoverGirl foundation. Now I don't like CoverGirl foundations - I never have and I don't usually buy new products that are super hyped up, but one of my favorite YouTubers hairbyash made demo/review videos and I trust their opinions. It was $10-11 the Walmart I was at which is a bit more than I like to pay for a drugstore foundation, but babydolls it has a pump! I thought it was worth the few extra dollars.
Ashley from hairbyash said that it didn't apply well after she let her moisturizer set for a little bit so I applied it right after I moisturized and after the foundation set I really liked the finish of it. It was medium coverage on me because a few of my blemishes still were visible. I could have used a second coat as concealer, but I didn't think it was necessary because I already liked the look it gave me.

The consistency is thick, but if you hold your hand up it does run a tiny bit and that really doesn't bother me. Also, I got the shade 805 Ivory and it is a pretty much flawless match for my skin tone which is almost unheard of for a drugstore foundation. Normally they are too dark for my Casper-like complexion.

In short, I love this foundation. 10 out of 10, new holy grail foundation for sure.

Talk to you later lovelies!!

I'm Making Dinner For Le Boyfriend

Hello lovers!

Paul was being a good boy today and we're celebrating my interview for a much higher paying job tomorrow so I'm making him dinner. What a good little housewife I'll make, eh? Haha.
...

I started by preheating the oven to 425 and gathered two rather large russet potatoes. I ran them under cold water to get them squeaky clean and edible and mine was a bit old so I had to cut a few growths off. I sprayed them with cooking spray because I didn't have any olive oil and seasoned them with salt and pepper. I gave them a few good pokes with a fork and threw them in the oven.

While the potatoes were doing their thing in the oven I got the chicken breasts marinated in lemon and herb deliciousness from the fridge and cut them into nice chunks. I chucked it in a pan put the lid on it and let those babies sweat a bit.

Let them cook for four-ish minutes on each side with the lid on and then I moved onto the veg: asparagus and green bell pepper. The dashing bald man in the picture is my roommate Mondo. Lol. Honestly I don't know what kind of magic Mondo made with the veg, but they were delicious and there was some garlic and chili flakes involved.

Then the dinner really started to come together and we ended up with lemon herb chicken, baked potatoes, asparagus and green bell peppers, and green salad with ranch dressing.

I'm trying to up the picture ante so I hope that is working for you my loves. I will be back in full force around Easter because I have a surprise for the boy and I have document the process. :)

Love you!!

Third Time's The Charm

Hello lovers!

I'm going to be starting my journey to a healthy weight again. I might as well be honest with you I've gained weight since the last time I tried to lose. I'm ready for a lifestyle change and I'm using shaaanxo 's video about her weight loss as inspiration and motivation. I will really just be eating more vegetables and fruits and little to no fast food. My goal is to work out at least 4 days a week.

Along with getting my weight and fitness under control I'm making a concerted effort to get my face clear and keep it that way. My skin is almost clear with just a few break outs around my chin area and once those clear up I will be working on keeping it consistently clear. Then I can work on fading my acne scars and once those are mostly taken care of I will start my YouTube channel!! I think it will be a weight loss beauty channel and I eventually want to be a beauty guru. Can't wait to set all this in motion so I really need my skin to clear up!! Maybe I will start using my Mario Badescu glycolic foaming cleanser and Josie Maran Argan Oil to trick my skin into thinking it has enough oil so it doesn't produce as much.

Wish me luck for clear skin! I'll keep you updated because I know you all care so much about this!! Haha.

Talk to you later lovlies!

I've Found It!

My holy grail fast drying top coat that is!

Hello my loves. Today's post is going to be about Out The Door super fast drying top coat. When it says that it dries super fast it is not exaggerating because I slicked this bad boy on my yellow and white polka dot nails and I swear two minutes later it was completely dry. No tackiness, no dings, smudges or smears just beautiful shiny nails. I have never sung praises so high about a product that I've owned for less than a week. It is just that good.
The camera on my phone isn't working, so I got a picture off of Google Images that is similar to what my nails look like.

It was the first time I used my new dotting tool from the Sephora nail art kit. Its super handy and I can't wait to do so many cute nail designs!

New In: Sephora + MAC Cosmetics

Hello lovelies!

I deleted my Friends Come and Go post because those friends have really come and gone and I don't need to be reminded of them. Moving on and up in life. :)

As ya'll know I went on a little road trip to pick my friend up in Sacramento and since we were there a shopping session happened. My roommate Jenny and I went to Sephora and MAC while my roommate Mondo and friend Reggie went to Zumiez and stores like that. It was really fun and on the way home we stopped at Sonic in Roseville for dinner. All in all it was good experience and I'm glad it happened.

We went to MAC first and Jenny bought an eyeshadow palette and with the revamped palette look you have to buy inserts for the shadow pans to fit in and we didn't realize that so it was a $50 empty palette. So go her. Lol. I just looked at a few lipsticks, but I wanted to look at Sephora before I bought anything. Then we went to Sephora, shocker I know, but let me tell you the sale section was tiny (read pathetic) and really hard to find. I got the .5 oz size of Josie Maran Argan Oil, Sephora Collection Nail Art set, and a Beauty Blender!! And I found out that I'm almost a VIB which is very exciting.

Then we went back to MAC and I got two lipsticks in Sunny Seoul and Crosswires and an Mineral Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle. It is all lovely. <3

I love everything I got and had a good ass time with my friends. I'll be back with a beauty review and my teeth whitening system is coming on the 18th. :) Yaaaay.

Til next time my loves.

Let's Get Naked...

Hello lovelies!

There are four collections of pigments from Naked Cosmetics that I want sooooo bad. I'm not going to lie to you most of them are neutrals, but if neutrals are wrong I don't want to be right. Oh my goodness, they are such good quality as they should be for $60, but I heard that they do two for one deal a lot so its like getting each one for $30 which I am able to rationalize much easier. Now I do understand that single eyeshadows are $14 so paying $60 for six is a deal, but you add on that twofer deal and you have quite the bargain. And if you wait to buy them at IMATS you can get them even cheaper!!

I shall include pictures of the pigment collections I'm eyeing.

Sierra Nevada, Naturally Nude, Java, and Blushing Bronze

Sweet goodness these are beautiful. One day, bit by bit, I will own all four of these. :)

Until next time lovers. <3

Roommate Adventure!

Hello lovelies!!

I swear I'm the absolute worst at staying mad at people. You could completely screw me over, steal my boyfriend, and ruin my makeup collection and I would get over it. I honestly think it is because I'm too lazy to hold a grudge. It takes entirely too much effort to stay mad at someone for longer than is really necessary.

That was just a little back story you needed to know before I tell what I'm doing tomorrow. Just so you don't think I'm crazy or have a really bad memory and I may be guilty of both, but I want to like my roommates. Anyhoo, I'm driving two of my roommates and myself to Sacramento to do some shopping (tomorrow is payday for all of us I think) and to pick up one of my good friends, Reggie because he just turned 21 and didn't have a chance to celebrate with us. We all consider him family so we're so excited to have him stay with us for a couple of days! Yay for birthdays and hanging out with family. :)

I don't know if you've made the connection yet, but you should be smelling a haul coming on. I'm going to Macy's, Nordstrom, Sephora, MAC, Bath & Body Works and hopefully Ulta. I plan on spending a stupid amount of money (well at least to me) because it will be some much needed retail therapy as I just learned a bit of shocking news so you see that I need Sephora to make me feel better. I'm sure that sounds shallow and ridiculous, but I don't judge you so leave your judging eyes at home. Thank you very much.

This was just a little update while I paint my nails for tomorrow.

There will be another post up tomorrow so don't fret. :)

Good night lovers!

The Apartment Search Is On

I recently found out my living situation is going to be changing because my roommates have all committed to a place without me. :( It's funny because I still like my roommates...I kind of understand that they were looking out for themselves, but they could have discussed their plan with me. I have til May 31st to find another apartment that is clean, affordable, nice, spacious and has a room big enough for my boyfriend Paul and myself. I would like a couple windows and a nicely sized closet, but I can pretty much make anything work. I've found a few possibilities that I have call and take a tour of.

I'm also trying to find a new job that will help me make payments on a new-to-me car. I've applied at a health care provider (I'm really gunning for this one) and for a host position at Olive Garden.

Omg, my friend Reggie just turned 21 (he's a baby :P) and I'm going to pick him up on Friday and he's going to spend the weekend! Since I'm going to be down in Sac I'm going to Ulta and Sephora just because I never get to go to an actual store and I would enjoy that.

Another Haul! eBay, Etsy & HauteLook

Hello lovers!

I've been a bad little online shopper and I placed orders on eBay, Etsy, and Hautelook. From eBay I bought a black faux leather satchel that has gold tone hardware and a cross body strap which was $25. It's my substitute bag until I can afford the Michael Kors Large Hamilton Tote bag from Macy's which is $358.

I finally had extra money so I ordered a swamp family gator tea sippy sippy cup from Bunny or grav3yardgirl's Etsy page. I've wanted this since she first put it in a video and mentioned it on her Facebook. It's soooooo cute. I'll include a picture here:

Let me just tell you that HauteLook had a pretty great deal on Whitening Lightning Dial A Smile teeth whitening system with the whitening boosting pen. Now on the Whitening Lightning website this system is almost $500 and HauteLook had it on their website for $59. I'm sorry 88% off was just too good of a deal for me to pass up mainly because I watched nguerriero19 's February Favorites video where she mentioned this product and she had a code to get 70% off and I must say that I'm happy I waited to buy it. I'm so excited for this damn whitening system.

I also think I'm going to make my drugstore rounds maybe tomorrow. I think I will be going to Sally's as well to pick up the new China Glaze ombre nail polish sets. There are three sets: pinks, purples and blues. Are you ready for my pictures? Too bad. BAM, here they are!
I'm torn between which ones to get. I think I want to get the pink and blue ombre sets because I don't generally wear all that much purple.

It has recently come to my attention that I have to reevaluate my living situation in the coming months because my roommates are not renewing the lease. Well really they just all talked about moving somewhere else and leaving me out of the loop. I was pretty pissed about it, but now I see it as an opportunity to find a better and more grown up apartment. Like one that doesn't smell and look like shit all the time. I already found the place I want to live and I just have to ask my boyfriend if he likes it because WE'RE MOVING IN TOGETHER!! <3 <3 Whoop whoop. I'm really excited about it. There are hardwood floors and it's a pretty spacious 4 bedroom 2 bath layout and I really want to live there!!!

New L'Oreal Versailles Romance Color Riche Nail Polish Collection

Hello again lovelies!!!

I went to my Zumba class tonight and on my way home Walgreens was just calling my name and I couldn't resist. They had the usual buy one get one 50% off deal for almost all the makeup brands and after looking at everything I saw the L'Oreal Versailles Romance nail polish collection display. The display was really cute and had products that I actually wanted to buy which I usually don't do because I avoid gimmicky or hyped up things, but the nail polishes definitely caught my eye. There are 6 nail shades in the collection and they are all beautiful pastels just in time for Spring. I personally didn't have any pastels in my nail polish collection so I felt the need to buy all 6 colors and my nail polish rack is definitely looking better with the additions. :) Once I got home from the store I saw the Nouveau Cheap had an updated blog post about this collection so I felt proud of myself for picking something up when it's relatively new because I generally don't buy things til I look at reviews and have thoroughly convinced myself that I need the item and that I will actually use it. My life is full of inner turmoil about whether to buy certain beauty products or not. Haha. Such a hard life I live. Anyways, here are the names of all the polishes and pictures of the colors.

Image Credit to Tara from Nouveau Cheap
Color Riche Nail Polishes (as shown on display):
115 The Palace Life
117 Creme Puffs
120 Royally Yours
118 Pistachio Dream
116 Macaroon Me Madly
119 Lacey Lilac

All of these polishes are very creamy and I was glad to see that there is no shimmer or glitter in any of these shades!! It just made me so happy for the additional uses and if I want some glitter I'll add some.

The collection also has 6 new balm colors and 3 nail lingerie designs and out of those options I really want the nail lingerie designs. They are just plain beautiful.

That's what I have for you today lovers! Talk to ya'll soon. <3

Hello lovelies!!

My mom just told me today that she, my dad and myself are going to the east coast for the first two weeks of July!! I have to start saving for this trip so I can buy a kazillion things while I travel. We're going to Kentucky to see my dad's friends so I want to get some southern-ish things while I'm there, Cincinnati to see my aunt and brother, Ithaca to see another one of my dad's friends (so I'm obviously going to ask my parents if we can go to New York City because I've never been and I really want to!!), and then Pennsylvania to see my grandpa with a few other stops along the way I'm sure. I really want to go to a Sephora in each place we go to see the differences between stores and whatnot. Haha.

I'm so excited for the new limited edition Wet 'n Wild Spring Forward eyeshadow palettes! Nude Awakening in particular. Such pretty shades and with all Wet 'n Wild shadows such amazing pigmentation!! At only $5.00 they are such a bargain. Love Wet 'n Wild and love their eyeshadows.

-gold and navy enamel anchor stud earrings

Let's Review My Review

Hello lovelies!

The other day I talked about the Kiss press on nails and since then I've learned a few things. First off, that damn glue that's included in the kit is awful! Seriously, I had them on for maybe an hour when I rubbed my boyfriend's back. It was light, not even using my nails and at least three nails popped off. I was very dissatisfied at that point, but when I went to CVS to pick up a few makeup items I found myself in the nail care section and I found this awesome nail glue! It's the Nailene Super Glue for nails and it is freaking amazing. As I've said I work at McDonalds and some times I have to close lobby which means using my nails a lot, but my nails didn't budge except for my left thumb nail when I bashed it into the shake machine which hurt like no other. The nail didn't break, it just popped off and I applied a little more glue and it's been going strong for 3 days with no other complications. I think I may have found the perfect recipe for really strong and good looking press on nails!! I'll include a picture of what I did with them.

So cute right?! I even liked them when they just had the white french tip going on. I must say that I'm quite proud of the Valentine's nails I did though. :)

Just thought I'd give ya'll a little update about my fake nail plight. Haha.

Talk to you lovers later!!

Review Time!

Hello lovelies! I have a review for you today. It's the Kiss Everlasting French press on nails in the real short length. The application was pretty easy and I'm saying that because I had to put them on without the instructions since I had thrown away the packaging. It was fairly straight forward, put glue on your nail bed and the fake nail, line up the fake nail with your cuticle and press down for 30 seconds to make sure the glue adhered properly, then fold the tab down and then back up to detach said tab from nail, and file nails til smooth. I did all that and I thought it was all gravy.

To be honest, the glue that comes with the little nail kit is complete shit. I had my nails on for maybe two hours before three of them popped off. I'm going to Sally's this week to buy better glue and then I'll update this review, but as it stands now I do not think these were worth the $5.99 I spent at Target. Unfortunate fact, but true.

I'll check back with you in a few days.

Post Payday Target Haul

Hello lovers!

I went to Target for three things. Three things! What did I come out with? Eleven wonderful products and let me just list the madness for you:
- a Hello Kitty planner for the coming 2013 semesters (it's the cutest thing ever)
- leopard print duct tape to decorate the nail polish rack that I made
- Essie's No More Film (a super dark smokey purple)
- Essie's Mint Candy Apple (a mint blue/green shade)
- L' Oreal Power Volume Collagen Mascara
- L'Oreal Power Volume 24 Hour Black Smoke Mascara
- EOS lip balm in sweet mint
- a pink Paper Mate mechanical pencil for said upcoming semesters
- Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Lipsticks 870 Shocking Coral
-Maybelline Vivid 875 Vivid Rose
- And last but definitely not least because I waited for almost a month for them to go on clearance is the Marc Jacobs metallic leather pouch in pewter from the Neiman Marcus/Target collaboration. I got that leather pouch for $20 as opposed to $70!! That was probably my proudest moment of the whole shopping trip other than the Essie Mint Candy Apple nail polish which I didn't know was coming back to stores!!

While I was shopping I saw my friend who works there and we shopped together and then I went over to her parents house with her for dinner and it was really fun. We had prime rib and it was the first time I've ever eaten that before. It was pretty good. I only ate a little bit and then there was a lemon tart for dessert. Twas delicious.

Can we just talk about the fact that I haven't taken down my Christmas tree yet. I think I'm trying to hang on to the holidays because its my favorite time of the year so my goal is to take it down by the end of Sunday night. Sooooo I have like 30 some odd hours to get it done. I also need to clean my room and bathroom and probably my car. So much stuff to clean. Ugh.

I think I'll do reviews on some of the things I bought today so check back in a couple weeks! :)

New Year's Resolutions

The time has come when people make lofty resolutions they don't mean and within a week they go right back to what they were doing before. I'm not going to do that this year. I'm going to set a bunch of goals, but they're going to be broken up into mini goals with prizes for when I make it to each one!

My first goal for 2013 is to weigh 185 lbs by the last weigh-in of the year. So by the last Sunday in December of 2013 I want to weight 185 lbs. I weigh 280-85 right now so if I complete this goal I will have lost 100 lbs. That is going to be so amazing! To go along with this goal I have made a list of rewards I get for losing a certain amount of weight. There's one for when I lose 10 lbs and 25 lbs and so on. Here it is guys:

10 lbs - Too Faced Cat Eye Kit $10

25 lbs - Lancome Le Curler Set - Ready, Set, Lash! $36

50 lbs - Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette $50

My second goal relates to fitness. I want to work out at least 3 times a week (my mom and I are looking into gym memberships right now) and along with that I don't want to eat out at all this year. I work at McDonalds so it's going to be a challenge, but I'm ready for it. I think I'm going to try Insanity and I want to run three 5ks this years as well. There's one in Seattle that's called Run For Your Life and you're chased by zombies while running an obstacle course. Sounds like fun!! Maybe I'm weird, but I love me some zombies. Haha.

The third goal for this year focusing on finding a better paying job that will help me reduce the hours I have to work so I have time for the 4 classes I'm taking this Spring semester. I guess this is going to really a mix of Goal 3 and 4 because the fourth one is about staying focused on my classes and working less will give me the time and energy to do that.

My fifth goal is to keep my finances in check which means paying off my credit card debt and then keeping it under control afterwards. I really need to start paying off the balance off ASAP, preferably monthly to build my credit score back up because right now it is rock bottom. :(

Another goal is personal/self related. I want to have a me day once a month. A day where I do stuff and hang out by myself. I also want to take better care of my skin, i.e. I want to clear it up. I got a Clarisonic for Christmas from my boyfriend so I'm hoping that using that in conjunction with acne medicated products will clear my skin up for good cuz it is not looking so fresh as of late. I have good days and bad days, but recently I've been having more bad days and than good and I think its a mixture of not changing my pillowcases often enough and I've been slacking on cleaning my face at night because my boyfriend and I have very different sleeping habits so I try to be quiet when I get home. I will be more diligent in sticking to my skincare routine.

My last resolution is to be more authentic with my intentions and interactions with others and my friends and coworkers, people like that. I've noticed recently that a few of my friends are kind of two faced and I'm not about that. I think I need to reevaluate some of my friendships and see if the relationship is even worth it at all.

I Got A Holiday VoxBox from Influenster!!

I joined Influenster in May of this year and at first I wasn't accepted into the VoxBox program for demographic reasons. BUT two weeks ago I got an email from them that said I was getting a Holiday VoxBox and I was so excited!! This is what was in my box!

I've used the Goody Quikstyle hair brush a few times and I like it. It doesn't seem to magically make my hair dry faster like it's supposed to and it honestly makes it a little more difficult to brush my hair when it is wet. Not that it's the easiest thing to do to begin with. Overall, I did like it and it was nice to use with my hair dryer.

I had the Quaker oatmeal for breakfast, it was delicious and really easy to make. I used the suggested cooking method and it worked well. I would buy it again I think.

I guess the shoe coupon is ok. I'm not a fan of these kinds of coupons unless I already shop at the store that gives me one. It wasn't even for a free pair of shoes, but it is what it is and I will most likely purchase a pair of shoes using the coupon so I can post a review about the experience and shoes and whatnot.

The energy drink mix was pretty good. The packet was convenient and I just popped it in a bottle water before I went to the gym and the taste was ok. I like pink lemonade and it didn't have a weird aftertaste like things like this some times do. Depending on the price per pack I would consider purchasing it for myself.

Kiss nail wraps are awesome! Go on super easy and they lasted like a week and a half. I was hoping for a different print, but the one I got was decent and it went with a lot, not that I'm one to match my nail polish to my outfits or anything.

Overall, I would say this was a solid box of samples and it fit right into my New Year's resolution to get healthy so that was good. I think Influenster is awesome so far and I hope that I continue to get boxes from them!
